Diagnosing eye conditions during an Advanced Eye Test

Diagnosing Eye Conditions

Advanced Eye Test is especially valuable for diagnosing and monitoring a range of eye conditions, including:

  • Macular Degeneration: Our Advanced Eye Test can help with the early detection and management of age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
  • Diabetic Retinopathy: OCT scan can identify signs of diabetic retinopathy, a complication of diabetes that affects the blood vessels in the retina.
  • Glaucoma: By assessing the optic nerve head and nerve fibre layer, our Advanced Eye Test can aid in the early detection and management of glaucoma.
  • Macular Oedema: Swelling or fluid buildup in the macula can be detected and monitored with an OCT scan.
  • Other Retinal Conditions: The Advanced Eye Test can help diagnose and manage conditions like retinal detachments, vitreomacular traction, epiretinal membranes, CSR (Central Serous Retinopathy), optic nerve anomalies and others.

When to Get an Advanced Eye Test?

Everyone deserves an Advanced Eye Test.

The results found can form a baseline for future eye tests. This will help the optometrist compare the future results with the baseline and detect early changes.

Eyes are often neglected unless you wear glasses. We recommend that you should go for regular eye exams even if you don't wear glasses. This is how you can catch early signs of health issues.
